Hi y'all

Yes, I'm a good ol' southern girl, born in Kentucky, raised in the military and finally settled/grew up in Tampa, Fl.

I lived through being a hippie (tho I don't remember much - LOL) and my first bike ride was on the back of a customed Chopper. Going to college in St Pete, my ride was a little 250 Susuki and this was back in the late 60's when there weren't many female riders,so got lots of strange looks.

Found a nice country boy and got married, had a daughter and built 2 professional careers; Retail Mgmt and Banking/Human Development. Turned around twice and I was a single mom doing "my duty". My daughter grew up, joined the Marines and into my life rode the official "Boy Toy" - Kept him a while and was a passenger on our 1100 Honda Shadow for 18 years. When his batteries wore out, he left and took the bike with him.

Not to be left wanting, I bought a little 650 Vulcan, took the Safety riding courses, got my bike endorsement and upgraded myself to a H/D 1200 Sportster Custom (with no rubber mounting, I know why they're called a Milwaukee vibrator). Rode it for 2 1/2 yrs and almost 40 thousand miles then got a job and treated myself to a 2009 Heritage Softail Classic.

Found Women In The Wind when I moved back to Ocala, Florida. OMG! A group of stong, free-spirited women who ride their own bikes - I'd never be alone again. Moved back to Ft Myers, Fl to be with my next generation of ladies (my 2 fantastic granddaughters) and joined the Island Breeze WITW family as soon as I could.

I've ridden to Upstate SC, Birmingham AL, and ALL parts of Florida - from the Panhandle to Key West. I live for the freedom and independence because everything looks better from inside a helmet! Motorcycle riding is my "drug" of choice and my true love. I can finally say - "it's all good - now let's ride"

be safe, lyn
